Account

Open the registration page, choose an alias, enter your e-mail address and set a secure password. You may need to confirm your e-mail address before all account functions are available.
The alias is your visible identity on the platform. Your real name is not required for normal use and your e-mail address is not displayed publicly.
Use the password recovery function on the login page. A recovery link will be sent to the e-mail address stored in your account.
Account data can only be changed through the functions provided in your user area. If a function is not yet available, contact support.

Reporting finds

You may report useful items that genuinely stand in publicly accessible space. Private property, gardens, garages, courtyards, buildings, dangerous areas and restricted locations are excluded.
Photos showing recognisable children or young people are prohibited. Do not show other recognisable persons without a lawful basis, private documents, licence plates, house numbers, access details or sensitive information.
Some reports are reviewed before publication to protect quality and prevent misuse. Trusted accounts may receive simplified moderation depending on their history.
Available editing and removal options are shown in your user area. Expired or unavailable finds may also be archived automatically.

Map and location

Public previews may show only an approximate location. More precise information can be limited to logged-in users in order to protect locations and prevent misuse.
No. Location information is used for reported finds. The platform does not use the map to create movement profiles.
Check your internet connection, reload the page and make sure that scripts and map resources are not blocked by your browser or content blocker.

Notifications

In your user area, choose the categories and areas you are interested in. Matching finds can then be included in your notifications.
Notifications are bundled to reduce unnecessary e-mails. This keeps communication clear and avoids sending the same find more than once.
Yes. Open your notification settings in the user area and disable the relevant subscriptions.

Trust and moderation

The trust system helps organise moderation. Reliable activity may increase trust, while misuse or confirmed problems may reduce it.
No. It is an internal moderation aid and does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Authorised moderators may review, reject, archive or remove content when this is necessary to enforce platform rules or prevent misuse.

Support and contact

Use the secure contact form. Your request will be stored as a support ticket and can be processed by an authorised team member.
Describe the problem precisely, mention the affected page and approximate time, and include the public find link or ticket number where relevant.
The ticket number allows your request and later replies to be assigned reliably to the same support case.
Response times depend on the type of request and current workload. We process requests as soon as reasonably possible.
EbenGesehen is the German-language name of the platform. JustSawIt is the international English-language name. The word mark EbenGesehen has been filed for registration with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office under file number 302026239104.4.
